As a qualified counsellor I am dedicated to supporting both corporate clients and individuals on their journeys to well-being. I am fluent in Cantonese and English, and I understand Mandarin which allowing me to connect with a diverse range of clients.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Counselling and a Master’s Degree in Business Management, I am also a certified Lifestyle and Wellness Coach from Harvard Medical School. While I value my academic qualifications, I believe the heart of effective counselling lies in genuine human connection.
My primary goal as a counsellor is to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can cultivate greater self-awareness and self-compassion. Together, we will explore new perspectives that empower clients to step beyond their comfort zones and embrace personal growth.
Drawing from my extensive background, including 20+ years in the business world and my experiences living in various countries such as the US and Australia, I bring a unique understanding of the pressures and complexities of modern life, especially in a fast-paced city like Hong Kong. As a mother of two teenagers, I am also keenly aware of the specific challenges faced by young people and their families nowadays.
I integrate evidence-based techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness into my practice. However, I prioritize a flexible, client-centered approach which adapts my goal to meet clients’ individual needs and preferences. I aim to be a “human” first, rather than adhering rigidly to a “one-size-fits-all” approach.
I am particularly passionate about working with teens and young adults who may feel lost or overwhelmed. I provide support to clients experiencing a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, grief, school refusal, and low self-esteem. Specifically, I assist young people struggling with academic stress, bereavement, feelings of inadequacy, friendship challenges, anger management and emotional regulation, and navigating family dynamics along with the transition to university and early career.
Let’s work together to create a more conscious and fulfilling life.
