Prior to my career as a counsellor and psychotherapist, I worked as a sociology professor in Hong Kong for over 25 years. My experience in teaching, conducting research and pastoral work enables me to synthesise the professional knowledge and skills needed to work with clients facing a variety of issues. My clients include adolescents, adults, couples, and families from diverse socio-cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. I am conversant with major psychotherapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Existential Therapy, Focusing Oriented Therapy and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. Treatment plans for clients and modalities used are tailored to suit their specific characteristics and needs.
